Juan Villoro‘s work is distinguished by the unique concoction made up of scholarship, intelligence and humour that his pages offer. Villoro has tackled all kinds of literary and journalistic genres, but his greatest charm is when he combines several at the same time. His latest book is a good example. “No soy un robot” combines essays, chronicles and memoirs to examine the new habits that the emergence of digital technology has introduced into everyday life and, above all, into the way we read. These pages, which also fit into the genre of the ‘libro de amor por los libros” (book of love for books), are not lacking in the essential writers of the Mexican author: Borges, Monterroso, Kafka.
