He has combined his legal profession with teaching and writing. He was a member of the editorial staff of Nickelodeon magazine, is currently the film critic of Expansi\u00f3n and contributes to the regular journal Fuera de Serie of the same newspaper. He lectured at the Escuela de Cine de la Comunidad de Madrid (ECAM) and at the Faculty of Journalism of the University of Navarra. He regularly contributed to the programme \u2018\u00a1Qu\u00e9 grande es el cine!\u2019 (RTVE) directed by Jose Luis Garci, with whom he has shared a radio talk show for over twenty years, along with Luis Alberto de Cuenca and Inocencio Arias on the programme \u2018Cowboys de Medianoche\u2019, directed by Luis Herrero on esRadio.
