He has also written short story collections such as \u201cD\u00edas extra\u00f1os\u201d (Strange Days) and \u201cLos oficiales y el destino de Cordelia\u201d (The Officers and the Fate of Cordelia). He has been translated into nineteen languages. As a screenwriter, he has worked with Pedro Almod\u00f3var and Carlos Saura.
