He became known with\u00a0<em>Juegos de la edad tard\u00eda<\/em>\u00a0(Critic\u00b4s Prize and National Prize for Narrative), a novel that was followed by\u00a0<em>Caballeros de fortuna<\/em>,\u00a0<em>El m\u00e1gico aprendiz<\/em>,\u00a0<em>El guitarrista<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Hoy, J\u00fapiter<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Retrato de un hombre inmaduro<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Absoluci\u00f3n<\/em>,\u00a0<em>El balc\u00f3n en invierno<\/em>\u00a0(Booksellers of Madrid Book of the Year Prize and the Dulce Chac\u00f3n Prize) and\u00a0<em>La vida negociable<\/em>. All his works are published by Tusquets.
