A. in Spanish and Portuguese Language and Literature from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and she is a member of the Royal Spanish Academy. Among her books, translated into several languages and mainly published by Anagrama, we can cite\u00a0<em>\u2018El bandido doblemente armado\u2019, \u2018Una enfermedad moral\u2019<\/em>,\u00a0<em>\u2018Queda la noche\u2019<\/em>\u00a0(Planeta Prize 1989), \u2018<em>Una vida inesperada<\/em>\u2019, \u2018<em>Gente que vino a mi boda<\/em>\u2019 and \u2018<em>Historia de un abrigo<\/em>\u2019.
