His extensive oeuvre notably includes \u2018Beatus Ille\u2019, \u2018Winter in Lisbon\u2019, \u2018Prince of Shadows\u2019, \u2018The Polish Rider\u2019, \u2018Plenilunio\u2019 (Full Moon), \u2018Sepharad\u2019 and \u2018In the Night of Time\u2019, all published by Seix Barral. He is a regular collaborator in the press, and has compiled his articles in volumes such as \u2018El Robinson urbano\u2019 (The Urban Robinson) and \u2018La vida por delante\u2019 (The Life Ahead). Among others, he has received the Prince of Asturias Award for Literature, the National Literature Prize on two occasions, the Critics Prize, the Planeta Prize, the Liber Prize, the Jean Monnet Prize of European Literature, the Prix M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e \u00c9tranger, the Jerusalem Prize and Qu\u00e9 Leer Prize, awarded by readers.
