He is the author of the novels \u2018Aire Nuestro\u2019 mio C\u00e1lamo); \u2018Los inmortales\u2019 and \u2018El luminoso regalo\u2019, published by Alfaguara. He has also written the short story books \u2018Zeta\u2019 and \u2018Setecientos millones de rinocerontes\u2019, the chronicle \u2018Lou Reed era espa\u00f1ol\u2019 and the autobiography \u2018Am\u00e9rica\u2019. He conquered the public and critics with \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.penguinlibros.com\/es\/literatura-contemporanea\/7245-libro-ordesa-9788420454061\">Ordesa<\/a>\u2018 (Alfaguara, 2018), his most personal book, translated into more than twenty languages. He was chosen book of the year by the cultural supplement Babelia. He was also awarded the Femina Prize in France for the best foreign novel. His novel <em>Alegr\u00eda<\/em> was a finalist for the 2019 Planeta Prize, including \u2018Los besos\u2019. His most recent novels are \u2018Nosotros\u2019, winner of the Nadal Novel Prize 2023, and \u2018El mejor libro del mundo\u2019 (Destino, 2024).
