Mariano Sigman

(Buenos Aires, 1972) is a physicist and neuroscientist. He earned his PhD in Neuroscience in New York and worked as a researcher in Paris before returning to Argentina. He specialises in the neuroscience of decision-making, neuroscience and education, and the neuroscience of human communication. He is one of the directors of the Human Brain Project and has developed an extensive career in science communication, appearing in media outlets in Spain and Latin America. He is the author of The Secret Life of the Mind: How Your Brain Thinks, Feels, and Decides and The Power of Words: How to Speak, Listen and Think Better. His latest book is Amistad. Un ensayo compartido (2025), co-written with writer Jacobo Bergareche.
