The 17th Ja! International Festival of Literature and Humour will take place in Bilbao from 14 to 31 October 2026.

This year’s edition will be devoted to science fiction in its broadest sense, with a particular focus on speculative fiction and other ways of engaging with the future. Rather than treating it as a genre, we will approach science fiction as a way of understanding the present.

As always, we’ll do so through creativity, critical thinking and, of course, humour.
