SAMANTA SCHWEBLIN
In conversation with CAROLINA ONTIVERO
Sala BBK

Samanta Schweblin is one of the most powerful voices in contemporary Argentine literature and, by extension, world literature. Her narrative style is unique; it almost seems like a new genre. It has elements of fantasy, horror and, of course, humour, often dark. A candidate for the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2025, she has received numerous awards, including the National Book Award, the José Donoso Ibero-American Literature Prize and the Ribera del Duero International Short Story Prize. Her stories have appeared in publications such as The New Yorker and her books are highly acclaimed in the United States.
Carolina Ontivero, director of the festival, will take a comprehensive look at her extraordinary work, with special emphasis on El buen mal, her latest collection of short stories which, together with three of her previous titles, was published by Seix Barral in 2025.
Free admission until full capacity. Book signing.
