Ray Loriga
(Madrid, 1967). Writer, screenwriter and film director. Author of, among other novels, ‘Lo peor de todo’ (The Worst of All), ‘Caídos del cielo’ (Fallen from the Sky), ‘Tokio ya no nos quiere’ (Tokyo No Longer Loves Us), ‘Trífero’, ‘El hombre que inventó Manhattan’ (The Man Who Invented Manhattan), “Rendición” (Surrender) (Alfaguara Novel Prize), “Cualquier verano es un final” (Every Summer is an Ending) and “TIM”, his most recent work, published in 2025. He has also written short story collections such as “Días extraños” (Strange Days) and “Los oficiales y el destino de Cordelia” (The Officers and the Fate of Cordelia). He has been translated into nineteen languages. As a screenwriter, he has worked with Pedro Almodóvar and Carlos Saura. He has directed the films “La pistola de mi hermano” (My Brother’s Gun), based on his novel “Caídos del cielo” (Fallen from the Sky), and “Teresa, el cuerpo de Cristo” (Teresa, the Body of Christ).
