Programme 2025

Ja! Festival2025
In 2025, we travelled to New York—and not by chance. The city was celebrating three anniversaries that felt especially close to us: the fiftieth anniversary of Saturday Night Live, the centenary of ‘The Great Gatsby’, and, above all, one hundred years of The New Yorker, the magazine that turned irony into a way of understanding the world. Jonathan Lethem, Samanta Schweblin and Peter Kuper led a programme in which New York became far more than a setting: a state of mind, a universe of books, films, comics and some of the greatest stories ever told. And because to speak of New York is also to speak of art, the festival presented the exhibition ‘Saul Steinberg, el signo errante’, organised in collaboration with the Juan March Foundation.
