RODRIGO FRESÁN & MARTA FERNÁNDEZ
‘The New Yorker’ Centennial
Bizkaia Aretoa - EHU · Sala Mitxelena

The New Yorker is as iconic to New York as the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, or Madison Avenue hot dogs. Founded in 1925 by the brilliant eccentric Harold Ross, we felt it was essential to celebrate its centenary, as humour, together with rigour and quality, defines the editorial personality of this unique magazine.
The list of authors who have published stories, articles, or graphic art in its pages is endless. Writers Marta Fernández and Rodrigo Fresán, specialists in American literature and devoted New Yorkers, will review some of those names, as well as the most notable milestones and anecdotes in the history of the magazine of the monocled dandy.
Free admission until full capacity. Book signing.
