Michel Houellebecq
(Saint-Pierre, Réunion Island, 1956). Author of novels including Atomised, The Possibility of an Island and The Map and the Territory, for which he received the Prix Goncourt. His work, translated into numerous languages, explores loneliness, desire, the transformation of Western societies, and the impact of science and technology on contemporary life. He has also published poetry and essays, including H. P. Lovecraft: Against the World, Against Life. In 2026, together with musician Frédéric Lo, he released the album Souvenez-vous de l’homme, based on twelve of his poems and conceived as a reflection on the past and future of humanity in the age of machines.
