Mariana Enriquez
(Buenos Aires, 1973). Writer, journalist and teacher. She is one of the leading voices in contemporary horror literature. She has published novels including Éste es el mar and Our Share of Night, which received the Herralde Novel Prize and the Critics’ Prize, as well as short-story collections such as Things We Lost in the Fire and A Sunny Place for Shady People, winner of the World Fantasy Award. In 2024, she received the José Donoso Ibero-American Literature Prize. Her work, translated into more than thirty languages, combines horror and the Gothic tradition with a perspective on violence, inequality and Argentina’s recent history. In 2026, Páginas de Espuma is publishing Conversación con la oscuridad, in which she reflects on her writing and on the connections between literature, horror and the Gothic.
