Paula Ortiz
(Zaragoza, 1979). Film director, screenwriter and producer. She has directed the films “De tu ventana a la mía” (2011); “La novia” (2015), based on Lorca’s “Blood Wedding”; “Across the River and Into the Trees” (2022), based on Hemingway’s novel of the same name); Teresa (2023); and La virgen roja (The Red Virgin), based on the true story of the young prodigy Hildegart (2024). She is considered one of the most original Spanish directors working today.
