CHRISTINA ROSENVINGE
in conversation with ALOMA RODRÍGUEZ
Sala BBK

CONVERSATION
Christina Rosenvinge is one of the most important voices of her generation. For four decades, she has been displaying her creative freedom in projects as diverse as her more than ten studio albums, the book “Debut” and her work in the play “Safo”. The latter gave rise to the album “Los Versos Sáficos”, one of her most recent highlights. In this project, Rosenvinge set out to bring music back to the verses of Sappho, whose poetry was born to be sung. ‘To recompose Sappho with today’s pop, I have played freely with her verses over different pop genres’, explains the artist, who closes the album with “Contra la épica”, an irreverent song in favour of love and against war.
Some of these songs may be included among the tracks she will sing live in front of the audience at Sala BBK. Instead of a lyre, she will be accompanied by her guitar. She will also talk about the years she lived in New York in the early 2000s, a period that marked a turning point in her career as an artist. She will do so in conversation with the writer Aloma Rodríguez, with whom she will review her career as a singer, composer and writer.
Free admission until full capacity. Book signing.
