19:00

Relationships mediated by screens, identities built and reinvented online, new myths and belief systems — conspiracy communities, incels, transhumanist imaginaries — and a language changing at breakneck speed.

Sara Barquinero and Carla Nyman, two of the most interesting writers of a new literary generation, will discuss how speculative fiction can explore, through strangeness and irony, a present marked by anxiety and a certain sense of despair — one that at times seems to be living through its own dystopia.

Free admission, subject to capacity. Book signing.
Ja! Festival Friends: priority seating in the front rows with prior registration.
