Harkaitz Cano

(Lasarte, 1975) holds a degree in law, but he soon turned to writing. Among his books, it is worth highlighting El turista perpetuoTwist and Jazz y Alaska en la misma frase, all published by Seix Barral. He has twice obtained the Euskadi Prize for Literature and has won the Critics Prize the same number of times. Influenced at the beginning by film noir, dirty realism and pop culture, his themes and style, lightly enveloped in a redeeming irony, have been gradually refined in his last few works. Having defined himself at times as a “frustrated musician”, he collaborates regularly with several singers and artists from the Basque scene.
