Hidrogenesse

Hidrogenesse is an electronic pop duo formed in Barcelona in 1997 by Carlos Ballesteros and Genís Segarra. Their music combines electronic sounds, humour and literary and artistic references. Their work includes Animalitos, Un dígito binario dudoso. Recital para Alan Turing and Joterías bobas. They have also composed music for films, series and exhibitions, including La Mesías, for which they created the songs performed by Stella Maris. They run the independent label Austrohúngaro, founded in 2000, through which they have played an important role in music publishing and production. In 2026, they are preparing Variaciones Pombo, an album inspired by the poetry of Álvaro Pombo.
