Juan Tallón

(Vilardevós, Ourense, 1975), journalist and writer, and holds a degree in philosophy. Formerly a journalist at El Progreso newspaper and a regular El País and Jot Down contributor. For several years, he has had a regular section on Javier del Pino’s programmeA vivir’ on Cadena Ser called ‘La píldora de Tallón’. Some of the most outstanding pieces from his participation in the programme are collected in the book ‘Mientras haya bares’ (Círculo de Tiza). Tallón is the author of several titles written in both Galician and Spanish. Among them, the essay ‘Libros peligrosos’ and the novels ‘Fin de poema’ (Alrevés), ‘Salvaje oeste’ (Espasa), ‘Rewind ‘y ‘Obra maestra’, the last two published by Anagrama, as well as his most recent novel, ‘El mejor del mundo’ (2024).
