Luz Sánchez-Mellado
(Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, 1966) is a writer and journalist. She has spent most of her professional career at El País. Since 2009 she has published literary and current affairs columns in said newspaper, including the series Portera de Día which she created for Revista Sábado; in 2015 she began to contribute to the last page column on Thursdays and since 2017 on Sundays in the interview section ‘Gente con Luz’. She has worked in the news programme of Cadena Ser and currently cooperates with a variety of media and programmes such as Carles Francino’s La Ventana. In 2012 she published ‘Estereotipas’, a collection of 50 types of women based on op-ed columns that she had written for the newspaper El País and the magazine Elle for several years.
