Mursego
Mursego is the musical project of Maite Arroitajauregi (Eibar, Gipuzkoa, 1977). A graduate in cello from the Vitoria School of Music, she is a composer and performer. In addition to the cello, in her compositions she uses a loop station, whistle, cymbals, slide whistle, theremin, tambourine, ukelele, autoharp, rhymes, hand clapping and voice. Although her main training was in classical music, she has also been influenced by pop and rock music groups such as Pixies, Sonic Youth, Atahualpa Yupanqui, Víctor Jara and Mikel Laboa. She has also composed the soundtrack for different film projects.
