Straddling journalism, non-fiction and fiction, Rosa Montero’s career has always been driven by curiosity. In her books, imagination and humour become ways of exploring and understanding the world. Following in the footsteps of her much-admired Ursula K. Le Guin, she has used science fiction to explore some of the great questions of our time, giving rise to one of her most personal literary projects: the saga featuring Bruna Husky, a replicant.
For the first time, Ja! welcomes one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Spanish literature. She will be joined by scientist Carlos Briones for a conversation about her work and the common ground between science and literature, as well as their shared conviction that the two are far more closely connected than they might at first appear.
Admission: €3. Book signing.
Ja! Festival Friends: free admission with prior reservation
