Cecilia Dreymüller

Born in Nohn (Eifel, Germany) in 1962, she has lived in Spain for over twenty years. She holds a PhD in Hispanic Philology and is a specialist in German and Central European literature, literary critic, and translator. She has lectured at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona and at the Goethe-Institut in the same city. She has worked for the newspapers Süddeutsche Zeitung and Deutschlandfunk and is a regular writer for ABC Cultural and Babelia, the cultural supplements of ABC and El País, respectively. She has written ‘Incisiones. Panorama crítico de la narrativa en lengua alemana desde 1945’ (Galaxia Gutenberg, 2008) and ‘Confluencias. Antología de la mejor narrativa alemana actual’ (Alpha Decay, 2014). An expert on Peter Handke’s work, she has translated several of his books and has published ‘Peter Handke y España’ (Alianza Literaria, 2017). In 2018, she founded the publishing house Tresmolins to disseminate German-language literature in Spain.
