Those women of not-so-remote times who had the knowledge of natural remedies were usually healers and physicians. Religious obscurantism, however, considered them witches, in a carnal alliance with the devil, and burned them to death.

We have invited Gustavo Martín Garzo, for his film and literary knowledge as well as for his love of all things fantastic, also present in his new book ‘El último atardecer’, and we have also summoned Aixa de la Cruz, as it has been said that her novel ‘Las herederas’ is somewhere between gothic and lysergic, like the power of belladonna. Together, we will discuss the subject, and talk about witches and sorceresses in fiction.
