Olga Tokarczuk is a remarkable writer. We are delighted to feature the 2018 Nobel Laureate in Literature for the first time in the Ja! Festival. Her narrative power is absorbingly effective:  both from the magical, fantastic perspective of ‘Primeval and Other Times’, and from the sometimes deliberately surreal realism of ‘Flights’.

Her most recent novel is ‘The Books of Jacob’, a book about an intriguing 18th century messiah and snake charmer. Jesús García Calero, an admirer of Polish literature and, of course, of the author, will be conduct a very interesting interview with her.
