George Méliès (1861-1938) discovered that the emerging art of cinematography was a means of shaping his fertile imagination. He created an exuberant world of dreamlike images and fantastic actions, which he filmed on elaborate sets.

This event will feature the screening of a selection of short films and sequences from his filmography and will be commented on by two of Méliès’ fanatics: the comedian Raquel Sastre and the magician Imanol Ituiño. These sequences will be accompanied on stage by music composed and performed on the piano by Lola Barroso, in the style of an old silent film theatre session.
